Kassias Saga (INGRIED BOUSSAROQUE)
from The Saga of Gísli and Hymn by Cassia of Constantinople
This piece is in honor of women, who are not so present in the sagas. The men sing verses from the Saga of Gísli, where the hero, as he is dying, pays homage to a woman who appears to him in a dream.
In the second part of the piece, we present a hymn in ancient Greek by the Greek abbess Cassia (9th– century) — our salute to onstantinople and to this remarkable woman. The nay and the ud respond to the nyckelharpa, the mouth harp and the shawm.

The whole album really gets me emotionally worked up. Gorgeous. Salterello II, especially so.

I'm so glad you guys chose to re-upload this on badncamp. This is the album through which I discovered you, and ever since it's release I'm hooked with your music. I wish Viter would reupload their stuff too. Gabriel Tamas
