Dansar Tillsammans (TRAD. SWEDISH DANCES)
This piece is a collage of two “schottis.” This partnered country dance apparently originated from Bohemia, though the name suggests it comes from Scotland. Still quite common in Scandinavia, the schottis is danced there a bit differently though since it is on “the continent” – as the Swedish designate the rest of Europe, and also different from the schottis danced in North America.

Cette pièce est un collage de deux « schottis ». Cette danse en couple traditionnelle proviendrait de Bohème, malgré son nom qui suggère une origine écossaise. Encore très dansée en Scandinavie, la schottis y est cependant différente de celle du « continent » -comme disent les suédois pour parler du reste de l’Europe, ou encore de la schottis dansée en Amérique du nord.
